Hi I’m Donna,
I’ve been in this industry reading, writing and rearranging words, for 20+ years; beginning my career in Australian Film and Television as an actress and assistant director (who remembers Heartbreak High?!) before side-stepping my way into the publishing world.
Over the years, I’ve worked my editing wizardry and wordy magic for numerous magazine and book publishers as well as media personalities, business entrepreneurs and online design platforms as an experienced features writer, copy editor, ghostwriter, proofreader and blogger. I’ve also cast my spell for many local businesses and lady startups looking for creative website and social media content.

The Backstory...
Donna Rishton grew up in the gorgeous Northern Beaches village of Avalon and now resides with her husband and three daughters just north of Byron Bay, in a wonderful seaside town reminiscent of her childhood home.
Drawing on her experience as an actress, Donna is an experienced communicator and has also lectured at adult colleges, hosted events, spoken to women’s community groups and run empowerment-focused workshops for teen girls.
Passionate about collaborating with like-minded folk, who seek to create authentic and socially aware brands, Donna uses her extensive experience to harness the power of words to produce copy that resonates and tell stories that touch the soul. A keen observer, she is a masterful translator of the human heart.
